After finishing the tree project around 3:00 today, I decided to call it a day, and play around with the camera, so here are some photo's I took.

Hey yall,

I know it has been a while since I have done a blog post, but it is because I have been busy, but instead of telling what all I have been doing, I will save that for the video blog I made today, just got to edit it later.
 I will though show you the latest creation from the shop, I call it "Front Yard Swing", it stands about 3 feet tall, let me know what yall think.

What a Day

The other day was a wild one.
 First I had to get up a 5:30, do chores, and then leave the house at 7:00 for Bowling Green. I had to be at the dentist's office a few minutes before 8:00.
 I figured it would take me close to an hour to get from the house, to the dentist, but at that time of the morning, there was very little traffic. So I was there at 7:18, and there wasn't any one there yet, so I just sat around and waited. By this time I was getting hungry, for I didn't eat breakfast since I didn't want to get a bunch of food in my teeth, I didn't even get a single cup of coffee. :(

Waiting.................

 After waiting for about 45 minutes, I was finally in the chair getting the works, and after 20 minutes of intense cleaning, I was on my way back home. There was just on bad thing, after leaving, I had a tooth ache!!!!!!!!! I think it was from when the nurse did the flossing, it was a little ruff. OH well LOL
 Before going home, I stopped by Minit-Mart for a health breakfast.

And a 44oz Pepsi, a breakfast fit for a king... or blacksmith :)

Finally getting back home, I opened up the blacksmith shop for the day, and got to work. First off, I made my self a table to set some tools on next to the anvil.

 After getting the table put together, I finally fired up the forge!!!! Wanting to try some  new products, so I made a leaf, and bird key fob.

 During lunch I watched a youtube video on how t make a horse head, and I had the idea on using the horse head for a wall mounted hook.

This is the first horse head I have ever made!!! what do ya think?

It now hangs in the office, in use for holding my blacksmithing apron.

 So all in all it was a good day....... all except the tooth ache. LOL Today I worked on some "bigger" projects in the shop, but I don't have any photo's of it yet.

Hey yall,

Well since I have finished my forge, I have been working all day for several day's,  mostly I have been practicing techniques, but I have made several pieces.   "Photo's?" you ask, well here they are.

After making that tomahawk, I couldn't resist throwing it at a tree, and the first time, it stuck!!!!

Forge Almost Done

For the past few days I have been working on my new forge. This was my first attempt to laying brick..... Pretty good for a first time huh??? go ahead shake your head yes. LOL My goal is to get the blacksmith shop up and running by the end of the month, and I think I might make it!!!!!!!
Laying this brick was a challenge, and was kinda fun, but I better keep my day job as a blacksmith!!! LOL
